Encounter Whales in Their Natural Habitat!
Here at Adventure X, we live for the Winter months when the Humpback Whales enter our Oceans. They slowly start to trickle into Hawaiian waters in late October, and they can sometimes stay as late as May. We hope you join us during the peak of our season (Late December-Early April) while we are lucky enough to present these amazing creatures to you and your loved ones.
During our 2 hour duration, we know that every minute counts and you will want to be ready for anything. It is sometimes when you are least expecting it, that the most incredible thing happens. As we leave Puako, we are already in the midst of the nursery grounds where mothers and calves enjoy the more shallow waters. As we get out further, you may witness a competition pod, a battle between males over the female. Every day and every hour is different in our Ocean and on our vessel but the excitement is always there, keeping us on the edge of our seats.
As humpbacks spend the majority of time underwater, we await their presence above water, sometimes lucky enough with the infamous breach. Also, as maybe underwhelming for some, we also search for a singing whale, and listen through our underwater hydrophone, and take a minute to listen to the beautiful songs that make these creatures so unique and learn how these songs saved their lives.
Throughout the tour, Captain and Crew will keep you informed of behaviors, as well as give you thorough interpretation and facts about Humpback Whales, newer theories, older stories, music, as well as silence to listen to these animals. As Adventure X has shared these experiences with guests for the last few decades, we continue to bring fresh, exciting, fun, unique energy to our tours. We continue to invite you to share these once in a lifetime memories together.
Throughout the activity, we will provide snacks (Yes including fresh Pineapple) and cold beverages (La Croix, Ginger Ale, Fresca, Hawaiian Juice, Bottled Water). We encourage you to remember your sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen!
We are very close to all of the resorts in the Waikoloa Resort area including the Hilton, Kingsland, Marriott, Mauna Lani Auberge, Fairmont, Westin Hapuna, and Mauna Kea Beach hotel. If you happen to be staying in Kona, we encourage you to take the drive up to the Kohala Coast to see us! As there are whales everywhere, the experience here will surely be worth it.
- There is a bathroom on the boat.
